drum-tec pro line 7A drum sticks (Hickory, Teardrop Tip)
They look to be of good quality, but they are noticeably thicker and heavier than my current pair of 7A's (Pro Mark American Hickory). When I first tried them, I thought they must be 5A's which had somehow got 7A labels, but I suppose they conform to official specifications of 7A sticks. Also the balance is towards the tip, probably because of the thicker and shorter taper. They feel heavy and poorly balanced to me. But to be fair, that is a personal preference and I probably should have researched better, or gone for a pair of one of the major brands.

Liebe auf den zweiten Blick
Ein Paar ist bei meiner letzten Bestellung mit in den Warenkorb gelandet, um sie einfach mal auszuprobieren. Als ich die Sticks dann in Händen hielt, war ich erst skeptisch. Ich bin recht eigen, was Sticks angeht. Sobald diese sich nicht „richtig“ anfühlen, verliere ich die Lust mit ihnen zu spielen. Und ich empfand sie zu dick, im Durchmesser.
Die eigene Eitelkeit bei Seite gelegt, spielte ich einen Abend lang dann mit den drum-tec pro line und meine Skepsis entwickelte sich zur puren Begeisterung. Hier passt wieder die alte Phrase: Es macht richtig Spaß, mit ihnen zu spielen. Seitdem spiele ich sie sehr gerne am E-Drum. Werde mir auf jeden Fall noch weitere Paare zulegen.
