Sound Editions for E-Drum Modules

Custom-kits for Roland TD modules: Our Sound Editions provide amazing custom user-kits that can be loaded in addition to the Roland presets! We spared no time or effort and with great attention to detail we worked relentlessly to design the most refined custom sets for Roland TD modules yet.

How it all began

During the past few years our customers have been frequently asking whether we could offer some guidance with the editing processes inside their sound module. The need for personalized user-kits was ubiquitous!
We were asked for tips & tricks when building your own kits (which we still gladly provide!) and had to be able to react to every scenario out there.
We received more and more requests and it quickly became obvious that we were really faced with a challenge!

The journey to the land of custom-sets

We hence started our quest to create and design the ultimate kit selection! In countless conversations with our customers we gathered every bit of information to figure out the specific wants and needs of our customers. After all, each module offers different options and every drummer has specific needs.
Being musicians ourselves we already encountered many scenarios in our own experience as drummers. So we knew where to start and how to progress from there.
While some drummers prefer only a few customized sets for their practice sessions others need big and dynamic stage sounds.

We wanted sounds that really resonated with our customers so we dove into the depths of each module to tweak the settings and play to the module's strengths. We tried out all the usual headphones and tested the sets we created with different monitoring and stage amplification systems. The drum-tec Sound Editions really got the attention they demanded.
And of course, there was also a degree of selfishness involved: We wanted the most amazing custom sets for our own drumming as well!

Sound Editions for drum-tec customers

The preset Roland sounds are of course already phenomenal. We noticed however, that they sometimes are slightly off from the tastes of the European drum-community. We therefore started to include the respective Sound Edition with every new Roland module purchased at drum-tec as a gift.
And the feedback has been overwhelming ever since! Many customers tell us that they prefer to play our kits or use them as the basis for their own setups.

In fact, the feedback was so extraordinary, that we decided to offer a few selected Sound Editions for sale also. Instead of just providing them in addition to the module.
Of course we still gift the Sound Edition to every customer who buys a new Roland module at drum-tec.

OK, but what actually are Sound Editions?

This just upfront: The drum-tec Sound Editions do not change the factory sets and sounds provided by Roland!
We rather utilize the possibilities to create user-kits. The Roland TD modules offer extensive options to tweak and change almost all parameters of the internal sounds and save them in any desired configuration.
And we merged our combined Roland-knowledge into single sets and neatly packaged them into the respective Sound Editions.

From the point of view of the module a Sound Edition is no different than any other backup of user-made-kits. Roland modules leave the factory with the option to save user-sets onto storage devices. We use exactly this functionality and with a vengeance! For each Edition we went to great lengths to provide you with beautiful bespoke custom-sets for your module.

This is how it works:

You can purchase the Sound Editions as a download or as a storage device. Should you select the storage device we will mail you the Sound Edition loaded onto the respective device for your module. All you have to do is follow the instructions and your are ready to go.

If you selected the download you will be able to download (and install!) the Sound Edition as soon as your payment is confirmed. Please note that you need a fitting storage device for your module.

Both versions will include instructions as well as an overview of the included kits.
