Wonderful pads
I hesitated for quite a while between the PD-10P/PD-12P and the PD-10X/PD-12X as an upgrade for the PDX-100 toms on my TD-27. In the end I chose the PD-10P and PD-12P, and I’m very happy with that decision.
Compared to the PDX-100, these pads feel like a significant upgrade. The triggering is very consistent, and I haven’t experienced any hotspotting. The playing surface feels natural and comfortable, and the pads respond much more evenly to dynamics.
Build quality also feels very solid. The pads feel sturdy and stable under the sticks, which adds confidence when playing.
Overall, these toms are a joy to play and noticeably improve the playability of my kit. If you’re looking to upgrade from PDX-100 pads, the PD-10P and PD-12P are definitely worth considering.
