The Roland FD-8 is a hi-hat controller pedal for controlling the hi-hat of an electronic drum kit with your foot. Depending on the pedal position, it supports open, half-open and closed hi-hat sounds as well as continuous transitions between these positions. Pedal travel and tension can be adjusted to suit your preferred playing style. The FD-8 connects via its Control Out to the hi-hat control input of a compatible drum module.

Compatibility and requirements

• Compatible with all Roland electronic drum modules and with electronic drums from many other manufacturers.
• Not compatible with Yamaha, 2Box or ddrum.
• The drum module must provide a compatible hi-hat control input.
