The Roland CY-5 is a compact 10" E-Cymbal for flexible use in an E-Drum setup. With a suitable foot controller, it can be used as a hi-hat or as an additional cymbal for different sound assignments. This offer includes a clutch and is supplied without outer packaging.

Compatibility and requirements

• A compatible foot controller, such as the Roland FD-8 or FD-9, is required for hi-hat operation.
• When used as a hi-hat, the CY-5 is mounted on a suitable cymbal stand.
• Compatible with Roland E-Drum modules and many E-Drum modules from other manufacturers according to drum-tec compatibility testing.
• For edge triggering and choke functionality, the trigger input of the sound module must support rim signals.
• A trigger cable is not included with this offer.

Functions and benefits

• The choke function allows you to stop a triggered cymbal sound by gripping the edge.
• The offset mounting helps keep the playable area facing the drummer.
• Depending on the sound assignment of the module, the CY-5 can be used as a splash, crash, china or effects cymbal.
• The rubberised playing surface covers the front playing area of the cymbal pad.
