The Meinl Byzance Foundry Reserve Collection offers a small selection of cymbals that have been developed over many years by our specialists and equipped with a wide variety of nuances and an exceptionally broad sound spectrum. These individually crafted pieces, made using traditional forging techniques, receive a unique surface through their "one-of-a-kind" hand hammering. This hammer pattern, combined with the lathed top and bottom surfaces, creates a clear, dry stick response supported by a full and voluminous sound bed. Due to the extremely elaborate traditional craftsmanship involved, these unique pieces are only available in very limited quantities.

The strong hand hammering and the fully lathed surface give this handcrafted ride its dry attack with clear stick definition. This is complemented by a dark, warm, and nuanced sustain. Despite its clear stick definition, this ride cymbal is also perfectly suited for crash-riding.
