The Meinl Byzance Foundry Reserve Collection offers a small selection of cymbals that have been developed over many years by our specialists and equipped with a wide variety of nuances and an exceptionally broad sound spectrum. These individually crafted pieces, made using traditional forging techniques, receive a unique surface through their "one-of-a-kind" hand hammering. This hammer pattern, combined with the lathed top and bottom surfaces, creates a clear, dry stick response supported by a full and voluminous sound bed. Due to the extremely elaborate traditional craftsmanship involved, these unique pieces are only available in very limited quantities.

The warm and nuanced sound of these hi-hat cymbals offers a very wide frequency spectrum. The well-balanced combination of a thin top cymbal and a slightly heavier bottom cymbal makes this hi-hat extremely versatile and gives it a warm, full tone. The stick response is warm and powerful, producing a pleasant wash when the hi-hat is slightly opened. The balanced foot chick completes this hi-hat, making it suitable for a wide range of musical styles.
