The eDrumPads Digital Sound Block v2 expands your electronic drum kit or hybrid setup with two additional trigger zones for percussion sounds, effects and samples. Both playing surfaces connect to an available stereo trigger input on your drum module via a stereo TRS cable. For the second generation, the electronics, housing, mounting bracket and Soft Strike playing surfaces have all been revised.

Who is eDrumPads Digital Sound Block v2 for?

This compact percussion pad is designed for electronic and hybrid drummers who want to expand their existing setup with additional sounds or samples. The two separate trigger zones allow you to control two different sounds from a single pad and make versatile use of available trigger inputs.

Compatibility and requirements

• Connection requires an available stereo trigger input on the drum module and a stereo trigger cable.
• For newer Roland modules, the manufacturer recommends the PDQ8S trigger type as a suitable setting; on older models, PDA120 can also be a suitable choice.
• For Alesis modules, the manufacturer recommends a piezo/piezo configuration and adjusting head/rim sensitivity to suit your playing style.
• For Yamaha modules, the 2P setting and crosstalk adjustments may be required depending on the model.
• The manufacturer states full compatibility with 2Box and eDRUMin.

• The two trigger zones are transmitted separately via the tip and ring of the stereo TRS connection and can be assigned to different sounds.
• According to the manufacturer, the revised electronics of the v2 version resolve an issue with the previous model where longer samples could be unintentionally choked on some Roland modules.
• According to the manufacturer, the revised Soft Strike playing surfaces significantly reduce stick noise compared with the previous Digital Sound Block.
• Because the trigger technology is passive, the pad requires neither a separate power supply nor a USB connection.
