ATV's EXS Series E-Drum Pads feature high-quality trigger technology. The three side triggers provide a precise image of your performance with a very low hot-spot hit rate. This results in a detailed reproduction of your playing dynamics to the E-Drum module.

ATV EXS - Pads with advanced trigger system

The stroke detection of the EXS pads is based on three side triggers. This system avoids a "hot spot" in the middle of the hitting surface. The three triggers are located very far to the edge. Since this area is usually played less, the chance for a hot-spot hit is less than on systems with a center trigger. A "hot spot" is the small area directly above a trigger, which, when hit hard, gives an overdriven signal to the drum module. This leads to distortion in the dynamic bandwidth and produces an unpleasantly loud signal in the headphones. With the side triggers, the hot-spot hit rate is much lower.

True natural playing dynamics

The side trigger system gives you consistent sensitivity across the entire playing area. Finest crescendo or dynamic fortissimo - everything is resolved very close to the original.

Differentiated detection of your performance

The Dual Zone Pads deliver your exact strokes on Mesh Head and Rim to the suitably equipped module. The sensor technology is supported by the 2-layer ATV Mesh Heads, which are mounted on all shells.

High compatibility with various drum modules

The EXS pads are compatible with all ATV modules. The modules implement the dual triggering of the snare drum, and offer very cool tom sounds. You can also play the pads with the modules of other manufacturers. These include, among others, the modules by Roland, the Mimic by Pearl, but also modules by Alesis or 2Box.
