What are low noise cymbals and what are they made for?
Low noise cymbals offer you the sound characteristics, feel and rebound of classic acoustic cymbals. They are made of the same alloys and materials. But they are significantly quieter. This is achieved by countless symmetrically arranged holes in the cymbal body. The resulting reduced mass develops less volume. Low noise cymbals are great for practicing, jamming and smaller gigs.
Ich habe mir die Becken als Ergänzung zu den GEN16 Nickel von Zildjian bestellt. Von der Optik her passen sie schonmal perfekt zusammen, der Klang ist mir persönlich aber , genauso wie bei den GEN16 - zu "metallisch klirrend" . Ich habe die 3 Becken (Splash, Crash und China) zurückgeschickt und gegen die Arborea B8 Silent getauscht. Dank dem tollen Team bei drum-tec alles unspektakulär und problemlos gelaufen. Als Übungsbecken aber durchaus zu gebrauchen, für diesen Preis sowieso.
