What are low noise cymbals and what are they made for?
Low noise cymbals offer you the sound characteristics, feel and rebound of classic acoustic cymbals. They are made of the same alloys and materials. But they are significantly quieter. This is achieved by countless symmetrically arranged holes in the cymbal body. The resulting reduced mass develops less volume. Low noise cymbals are great for practicing, jamming and smaller gigs.
Good, but a bit too loud compared to the Agean Rides
The sound of the hihat is not as good as I wished. I'm really satisfied with the 2 Agean Low Noise Cymbals that I bought, because they sound really good as ride, also when you crash them. If you're looking for realistic sounding low volume cymbals, which do blend with a dampened acoustic drum, I can recommend the Agean Series. I use these cymbals during drum lessons, small rehearsals & gigs, and everyone is happy. But when it comes to the/this hihat, I think (and it this is my opinion) that the sound is a bit aggressive: especially the click-sound is too loud and sharp. Then again, if you use some tape on the edges, you can make it sound softer and less loud in comparison with the ride cymbals. Again, this is my opinion. I play jazz & folk, and I use lightweight sticks or brushes.

Sehr gute Becken für das Üben zu Hause und kleinere Gigs
Ich habe mir diese Becken vor drei Wochen gekauft und bin absolut happy damit. Die Übungsbecken sind sehr leise und haben trotz der Lochung spitzenmäßige Klangeigenschaften, die mich ein wenig an meine Meinl Dual Becken Serie erinnern. Zudem habe ich sie letztens, in Verbindung mit meinem kleinen PAC-D von Sakae, in einer Vinothek Live eingesetzt und war unglaublich überrascht wie gut diese Agean Becken sich in dem Setup integrieren. Also Daumen hoch für Agean Practice Cymbals !
